Let’s journal about… Tapas

Tapas can be described as self discipline, passion or courage. Tapas is your self discipline that keeps you coming back to your yoga practice. It is pushing yourself out of your comfort zone in order to get to know yourself better.

For some people tapas would be having the discipline to sit still and meditate. For others it would be pushing them to take a stronger physcial practice.

Off the mat, tapas can lead us to push ourselves to see what we’re capable of (without harming ourselves!)

When was the last time you did something that was outside your comfort zone? What did you learn about yourself by doing it?

What would you like to do that requires more courage? How can you take steps towards doing it?

When do you lose your self discipline?
